Traveling in Idaho

Well we didn't get out of town yesterday until 10:30 and traveled 520 miles till we pulled over for the night.Good weather,just some wind in the passes.This is a picture of Hell's Canyon and the water has really receded since May.We got through most of the passes and my hubby noticed we didn't have brakes working on the trailer!!Pulled over and he checked it out and the plug just came loose...phewww,thank goodness my hubby used to be a long hauler for the oil fields.He wasn't in a panic but I sure was!! We should be in Utah today so will keep everyone up to date on our travels.

Last day for preparing for our trip

Hubby is having his last campfire this morn with a hot cup of coffee and planning out our day to prepare for our move tomorrow.Looks like we might have to change our route because of snow coming to Colorado.We'll be hooking up to the trailer this afternoon so we'll be ready to pullout in the morn early.I'll be securing everything on the inside while he puts away our last table and our chairs,put in the awning and make sure the area is clean.Not much to do but that's the way we planned it so we'll be rested for traveling tomorrow!! We're anxious and excited but at the same time will miss the beauty of Idaho!
Wishing all our friends at QSI a safe trip to there next destination and new adventures!! See you in May!!

Crazy mix of weather

Very strange mix of weather today.While I was in Coeur D'Alene this morning there was heavy down pours with hail.And on my drive home so heavy a rain there were puddles on the Hwy 95 that could easily make you hydroplane.Then the sun came out with wind for a few hours and once it was dark we had  a thunderstorm and more rain.Wow what a weather pattern this has been!!

Cleaning and truck Maintenance

Well today Jess put on a new fuel filter,amazing how dirty they get and checked all the tire pressure on the truck and trailer.Now he's cleaning the dash,doors and console in the truck and everything packed in the back like he wants it.
As for me I dusted,swept,vaccumed and cleaned mirrors in the trailer.Will do the mopping Sunday and start getting everything secure for our Monday move!! Laundry tomorrow and a little last minute shopping and we are ready to go!! It's been a great stay and I have to admit we will miss Idaho but time to move on to the next adventure.

Ran out of Propane

Well we were so busy yesterday getting things ready for our next trip we forgot to go fill our propane tanks.Jess was up at 5am made coffee and turned on the heater and guess what we were out of fuel......brrrrr!! Ran down to get some and they told him if they couldn't see the gage they couldn't pump it.He did some sweet talking and made sure our light he installed on the back was shining down where they could read it!! Thank goodness or we would of had to wait till daylight!! We won't make that mistake again that's for sure.
