Log Furniture

Coeur D'Alene has some great log furniture stores with beds, tables and chairs, lamps, swings and lawn furniture. My personal favorite is this huge chair!!What a conversation piece this would make!! It's located off Hwy 95 on the main drag.If you have a log cabin or country home they have some nice furniture to fill it.

Falls Park

Went to a beautiful park in Post Falls,Idaho called Falls Park to check out the waterfall. It's very nice but the water flow is usually better in the Spring, but still very nice. This is where we were suppose to have our potluck but it rained yesterday so decided against it.The colors of Fall are showing up a little more each week with colors of crimson, golds and oranges,so pretty!!

Last Potluck of the season

Yesterday was our last Potluck for our work at QSI. We had Lasagna, french bread, salad, green bean casserole and some great desserts!Had planned on having it at the park but the rain came and we decided to have it at the office where we could be out of the weather.
We discussed the upcoming busy month of  Oct. which rifle season opens soon and closing season for wood cutting on the 15th. Should be an interesting month and busier than usual.
Great food, great friends and just a great day!!

Visit from our desert buddies

Yesterday we had a nice little visit from our friends we met while camping in the desert. They live on the outskirts of Coeur D'Alene.Dan works with wood and is going to make me a shelf that folds down by my stove so I have room to put side dishes. It was great to see them and visit,he always has lots of jokes to tell and keeps us laughing!! We will miss them this year as we will be in Texas on another workamping job but maybe we can fit in a visit towards Spring time.Always a new adventure waiting to be had!!Love the life of being a fulltime RVer!!

Update on Axles

Yesterday Jess finished repacking the wheel bearings and installing new axle seals. After putting everything back together while adjusting the brakes he noticed one of the axle ubolts looked loose, after further investigation it was!!Jess called Dexter axle to find out what the torque should be and got out his tools and torqued all 8 ubolts.Thank goodness he noticed this problem. That's why it's important to check things out  before you get ready to travel on your next trip.

Brake and Axle bearing Maintenance

Jess after looking at his mileage chart last night decided it is time to repack the wheel bearings and replace grease sills before our next trip to Texas.Even though he's only 300 miles from his 5,000 mile mark it's better to do it now and be safe.Thank goodness he knows how to do all the up keep on an RV,which saves on cost.
Next week it will be servicing the hot water heater, trailer heater and stove  and oven.So he has his work cut out for him for now until he thinks of the next project!!

Moose statues of Coeur D'Alene Id.

Okay talked to the info center in CDA about why
these lovely Moose are placed all around town.
They had a contest yrs. ago and each artist did
a different design,a bank bought them and auctioned them off to whoever wanted them, which
explains them being at different locations in town
like hospitals,banks,eateries and apt complexes.
Each one is painted differently and very beautiful.
Mystery solved!!!
