Doe and fawn,Mica gate,Id.

 the MicaQuiet a few Doe's and fawns are showing up at the Mica area.Alot of Doe running by themselves this year which usually there with a spike or another doe.It's been strange weather with not much sun but lots of good grazing for the animals.It's a precious site to see the new life out here right before our eyes.

Moose at Mica gate area,Idaho

This is the second moose we have seen in the last week or so.This one was munching on leaves and didn't seem to mind my hubby taking his photo.We had several last year right outside our window but this year there more in the woods.Love seeing them,there quiet tall and long legged.Always at a distance though cause they have been known to attack people.We've had alot of rain and the grasses and shrubs are very green which makes for some good grazing.

Falls Park,Post Falls-Id.

Falls Park in Post Falls Idaho is a beautiful park with a raging water fall which cascades down to pretty blue water.It has fountains,picnic area,ducks in the pond and a playground for the kids.If you're ever in the area it's worth the trip and it's free.

Wild turkey's in Idaho

The turkey's are starting to show up in the area of Mica in Idaho.Spotted these two Tom's strutting there stuff for a hen up the road early morn.The weather is still cloudy and some showers so they seem to like the cooler weather.Hopefully the sun will show it's face soon and become warmer.

Spirit Lake,Idaho

The weather is getting better here in Idaho and I think the rain has passed now.Spirit Lake is a beautiful lake and has some great fishing.Some of the resorts are opening for the upcoming holiday,it's probably best to have reservations in order to get a good site.Everything is green,the waterways are full and just a beautiful place to vacation.So if your looking for a nice little getaway this is it!

Crater Lake,Oregon is a place I have always wanted to see and finally the south rim was opened but still lots of snow.The water as you can see was cystal blue and still snow on the mountains.It was a beautiful day in the upper 60's but not cold at all.If you ever get to make a trip to see the lake you won't regret it,they say mid July and August are the best time to see the whole lake.

Arizona has such beautiful weather

Flagstaff,Az. had some beautiful blue skies and temps in the 70's today as we traveled through on our journey to California.We left Indiana last Wed. and have had a very good trip and mild weather all the way.We are staying in Bakersfield tonight and it is quiet warm but a cool breeze is coming through now.Will be with family for a few weeks until we go to Idaho for work.

Lambert's Cafe in Miner,Missouri

I've always wanted to go to Lambert's Cafe and we went there for lunch.Hope you have a big appetite cause it's alot of food! It's the home of the thrown rolls! I had to chuckle at this poor guy who got hit twice in the head with a roll.The girls behind him were not good catchers at all so he suffered! It's a great place to eat and we thought we would have to wait in line but it has plenty of seating.As you can see they served my food in a frying pan.It was a totally fun experience and so glad we went.

Purdue Unniversity,Indiana

This is the Purdue University Stadium in Lafayette, Indiana.The campus is huge,seemed like 3 blocks long.Very beautiful grounds and lots of apts. close by for housing students.Always heard about Purdue so finally got to see it up close.

Shipshewana,Ind. boilers

They make these huge boilers for heating water here in Shipshewana.The Amish use them to heat there homes for laundry and showers.They can put wood or coals in the bottom and the water is piped threw it which gets heated.They can also burn there trash in it.We were so curious we had to stop and ask here where they manufacture them.

Shipshewana,Indiana

We are staying in Shipshewana while our 5th wheel is being repaired.The Amish work and live here.They have a hitching post where they park there horse and buggy while working.Tourist can take a buggy ride around town which has many shops and eateries all ran by the Amish.We captured one of the Amish farmers plowing his land with these big beautiful horses,the rows are so straight and precise.So glad we got to see this.

The Amish in Indiana

Here in Topeka,Indiana there are Amish everywhere.There homes are well kept and very pristine.This is one of there buggies parked in front of there garage.The horses that pull the buggies look very sturdy and they have quiet a few.They ride down the sides of the streets and even have head lights and tail lights so they can be seen.They seem very friendly as we waved to them and they waved back.

Our little traveling girl

Our pup Miss Bella is such a great traveler,she has her own bed and just sleeps most of the time.We just had her nails done and she hates it but soon forgets with the bribe of a new toy.When we say "You want to go for a ride" she perks all up and is ready to go! I have to admit she's our world!!

BBQ pits in Texas

Texas believes in having great cook outs,there known for some of the best BBQ'S around,this actually is a trailer set up with 2 big pits,an oven,a place for mesqite wood which gives that great flavor,a shelf that folds down for serving and 3 propane tanks up front.Yes Texas does it up right when it comes to slow cooking some brisket,chicken,ribs and sausage!Yum.

Even the cows like the bluebonnets here in Texas.It was a beautiful day just like Spring in the 80's with a slight breeze to keep the humidity from coming in.Looks like it's going to be a perfect weekend and good time to bring out the BBQ and do some grilling!

Spring blossoms are in bloom,Navasota,Texas

These beautiful trees were in bloom when we took a drive to Navasota.All the rain hasn't hurt them thank goodness.This gold one was a large tree but not sure what it is and the white one is a fruit tree.Sights of Spring are everywhere and the countryside is dotted with all kinds of color.

Bluebonnets in Navasota,Texas

The Texas bluebonnets are in full bloom and everywhere.We took a trip to Navasota where there are field after field of them.They have a wonderful sweet scent that you can smell all through the countryside.Gonna have to pick up a candle with the scent,it smells so good!!

Pizza Shack,Willis,Texas

Had dinner at Pizza Shack in Willis,Texas.It was just okay,the crust was overdone and a little salty,it could of been the cook on the crust. But they have a big selection of foods.Was very nice inside and clean.Hate to judge it on one visit,got it as take out and probably would of had them redo it but is was too far to take back.Chalk that one up to experience!
